It appears that Navid Akram the shooter was of Indian/Italian heritage- Indian father, Italian mother, according to neighbours. That does tend to undermine some of the competing narratives that are already being put forward by Israel and the media, that he was an Iranian/Hezbollah asset. Mossad have been dispatched to Australia to investigate whether this was an "Iranian plot", and it has already been reported in the Jerusalem Post, that if they "find" it is, that the US will help Israel attack Iran. All seems a bit of a stretch, even if they "find" Iranian involvement.
