Attack on Iran

A ground invasion by the US is now a distinct possibility, with both marines sailing towards the gulf, and the 82nd Airborne being deployed. Trump can't seem to drop his shovel, and continues digging when he's in a real hole. If the ground invasion goes ahead, then that will be a big escalation, which no doubt Iran will respond to, and most likely will lead to the possibility of nukes being used, and then who knows what happens. Trump could always negotiate, but he wouldn't accept a good deal that was already on the table, and Iran would want more than that now. But the real stumbling block is that Trump probably thinks that without a decisive victory, the mid-terms will be a disaster.

The Royal United Services Institute has estimated that US/Israel will be out of almost all their intercept missiles by early April. Expect a ground invasion possibly this weekend (markets closed). Stupid escalation in a stupid war of choice!

It's looking like the US is going to try some sort of land incursion over the coming Easter weekend. Trump loves it when the markets are closed. If it does happen, then I think we can expect a huge escalation in the entire region, and the wrecking of the global economy.

Looking back over the last few weeks, either Trump has just been wildly contradicting himself every few days ( sometimes more frequently) or he is actively manipulating the oil markets. This apparent ceasefire has pulled down the price of oil, but if it goes pear shaped (which looks very likely) then the price will rebound - someone is making a lot of money on the back of thousands of people being killed.

It's very obvious that Israel does not want a ceasefire, and that they intend to treat southern Lebanon exactly the same as Gaza. The US seems unable/unwilling to stop Israel, unless Iran sticks to its guns regarding a total region ceasefire.
